NCSLMA regional directors are establishing committees of representatives from across their region to help create and promote activities and professional networking opportunities for folks in their areas.  We will collaborate through virtual meetings, with (hopefully!) some occasions for face-to-face interaction as well. If you are interested in participating, please email me: [email protected].

Your state organization needs you!
Fill out the NCSLMA volunteer form and get active!

In my experience, the NCSLMA conference is one of the very best ways to learn about great professional practices, ideas, and programs that I can take back to my own  media center and use right away- not to mention connecting with friends old and new, books, authors, food, and fun. I love that! Hope to see you there.

WWHS students breakout.

Speaking of best practices, I want to share a few lessons that my friends and colleagues in Wilkes county put together at our last media meeting.  Let me tell ya, I work with a great group of librarians! (Link coming soon). I would love to add YOUR best practices to the mix. Just send a link to your fab work (make sure to include your name and school so I can give you credit) and I’ll make it happen.

Mtns Region Spring PD

Over 50 amazing media coordinators from the Mountains Region participated in great PD on the AASL Standards led by NCSLMA Archives Committee Chair, Jenny Umbarger. If you missed the spring PD opportunities that took place across the state this past spring, be sure to get updated during the conference. Many thanks to Cindy Sturdivant, Membership Committee Co-Chair for hosting the event in her media center at Charles D. Owen Middle School. Check back on this page for information on future chances to network with other media coordinators in our region.
