NCSLMA Elementary Battle of the Books Information
Media Coordinators interested in the Elementary Battle of the Books met on Thursday, Oct. 5 at NCSLMA. About 30 people were in attendance. It was reported that NCSLMA does not support a state competition, however they do not object to regional competitions since those are run by the regions themselves. Region 7 plans to have a regional competition next year. The book selection committee discussed criteria for selecting books. After discussion it was agreed that an average reading level of 4th grade would be the criteria. Also there are funds available for E-BOB to have a contest for an E-BOB logo. The group discussed assigning different titles to those willing to create questions and sharing. More information will be posted to the E-BOB distribution list regarding a logo contest and writing questions to share. Thanks to all who attended, Barb Thorson
