August	Booklist Recommendations. Website open to suggestions for next year’s titles. BOB Nomination Form
August - September	Join NCSLMA
September-October	System-level planning
	School-level planning
	Regional organizational meeting
	Conduct staff and student orientations. Prepare practice questions. Begin Reading.
October 12, 2007	Compliance forms due to Regional Coordinators
November 14 - 16, 2007	Attend NCSLMA Conference
November - December	Read and practice with teams.
January	Read and organize practice sessions.
January	Organize system-level contests, invite officials, select site.
February 1	Booklist Recommendation Website closes.
February	Read and practice.
Prior to March 14	System-level competitions
Prior to March 14	Send names of winning team members to regional coordinator by March 14, 2008.
March	State Battle of the Books Committee selects booklist. New booklist for next year’s competition distributed by State Battle of the Books Committee.
March 17 - April18	Regional competitions.
By April 18	Send list of regional team members to State Battle of the Books Committee
May 6, 2008	State competition UNC-G Elliott Center – Cone Ballroom Greensboro, North Carolina
May 16, 2008	Evaluate program.
